Cooper receives three nominations from the British Academy this year, earning recognition in the categories of Best Leading Actor, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay for his contribution to the biographical film "Maestro" about Leonard Bernstein. Notably, Cooper was the last person to be nominated in both the BAFTA Leading Actor and Director categories for his work on "A Star Is Born" in 2019, winning a BAFTA for Original Music for the same film.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie is taking
on a dual role this year. She secures a BAFTA nomination for Best Leading
Actress for her performance in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie." Additionally, Robbie earns a nomination in the
Outstanding British Film category as a producer on Emerald Fennell's "Saltburn." Josey McNamara also
receives a nomination in that category alongside Robbie and Fennell.
German star Sandra Hüller is also running in two BAFTA categories with two different films. After a successful year, she receives BAFTA nominations for Best Supporting Actress in Jonathan Glazer's "The Zone of Interest" and a nomination for Best Leading Actress for her role in Justine Triet's Cannes Palme d'Or-winning "Anatomy of a Fall."
In the Best Leading Actress
category, Hüller is in the company of Emma Stone for her performance in Yorgos
Lanthimos' "Poor Things."
Stone, as a producer on the film, also earns a BAFTA nomination for Best Film,
alongside Lanthimos, Ed Guiney, and Andrew Lowe.
