Kelly Marcel's Venom: The Last Dance was finally unveiled to the public on Monday night following its world premiere in New York, and early reactions have already started surfacing on social media.
'Venom: The Last Dance' Sony Pictures Entertainment |
The third and final installment of the Venom series, led by Tom Hardy, once again features the British actor as Eddie Brock, who coexists with the head-chomping alien symbiote, Venom. Picking up where Venom: Let There Be Carnage left off, the film follows Eddie and Venom as they flee from both earthly authorities and entities from Venom’s home planet.
The cast also includes Ted Lasso's Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham, who reprises his role as Patrick Mulligan, now bonded with the symbiote Toxin.
Marcel not only directed the film but also penned the script, with the story credited to both her and Hardy. Producers include Hardy, Marcel, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
This marks the third Venom film to release in the October timeframe, a strategy that has proven successful for the franchise. The first movie grossed over $850 million globally, while its sequel brought in more than $500 million worldwide.
Venom: The Last Dance will hit theaters widely on October 25.
Although full reviews are set to be released on Wednesday, here’s a preview of the initial reactions following Monday’s premiere.

Is it perfect? Nah, far from it. However, it's leaps and bounds ahead of #Venom and has a way meatier plot than #VenomLetThereBeCarnage.

The #SpiderMan4 rumors have been blown out of proportion IMO, but #VenomTheLastDance left me wanting more of these two. And Knull (mostly). pic.twitter.com/wMLEg5e2de
#VenomTheLastDance sees Tom Hardy go all in for a fun finale befitting the franchise. With stacks of set pieces ranging from kooky to crazy, this doesn't hold back with the Venomenal action. Take it for what it is. Grab some popcorn and go with the flow of this raging road movie. pic.twitter.com/neW56JxTLg

#VenomTheLastDance takes you on a wild and exhilarating journey from start to finish! It’s a fun popcorn movie that reminds me of the early 2000’s comic book movies. The action is great & is a tribute to action films from the 80’s. There’s a ton of funny moments. Are there plot… pic.twitter.com/b0wY5qkck4
