In a statement shared on his social media accounts on Monday, McMahon revealed that he recently viewed an "early partial cut" of the series and is displeased with what he saw.

He stated, "This documentary falls short and predictably merges the ‘Mr. McMahon’ character with my true self, Vince. Even the title and promotional material make that clear."

The Netflix series, premiering Wednesday, highlights McMahon’s career, showcasing how he transformed his father's regional wrestling promotion into a global entertainment powerhouse.

However, it also delves into the darker aspects of the business, including the steroid abuse scandal of the 1990s and the sexual misconduct allegations that led to his resignation earlier this year.

McMahon further criticized the series by saying, "A lot of things have been either misrepresented or omitted entirely, leading to intentional confusion for the audience. The producers use common editing tricks, such as out-of-context footage and outdated soundbites, to mislead viewers and support a false narrative. They even use a lawsuit from an affair I ended as evidence that I am 'Mr. McMahon.'"

Despite his frustrations, McMahon said, "I don’t regret participating in this Netflix documentary. The producers had the chance to share an objective story about my life and the incredible business I built, which was full of excitement, drama, fun, controversy, and important life lessons."

He concluded by urging viewers to keep an open mind and remember that "there are two sides to every story."
